Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli

No need to get take out when you can create this wonderful dish at home with your Instant Pot! I used flat iron steak and it was fork tender! You can also use round or sirloin as well. This was super tasty and everyone loved it! It’s easy to make too!

Here’s what you need:(4-5 servings)

For the sauce:

1/2 cup lower sodium soy sauce

2/3 cup water

2 T cornstarch

1/4 cup brown sugar or honey

1 t sesame oil

2 T hoisin sauce (optional)

1/4 t cayenne

For the stir fry:

3 T olive oil, divided

2 lb flat iron steak, cut into thin strips, across the grain

4-5 cups Broccoli florets

2 cloves garlic minced

1 t fresh ground ginger

Rice to serve it with

Sesame seeds to garnish (optional)

Sliced green onion to garnish (optional )

Mix all the ingredients for the sauce. Place the steak strips in another dish and pour 1/4 cup of the sauce over the steak and stir to coat it all. Allow this to be marinating.

Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode. Add 1 T of the olive oil. Add the broccoli and sauté for about 5 minutes or until it is crisp tender. Remove it and set it aside.

Add the other 2 T of the olive oil into the Instant Pot and sauté the garlic and ginger for a minute or two, then stir in the steak, browning it on all sides. When it is browned, pour in the rest of the sauce and set the Instant Pot to Meat setting and set time to 15 minutes.

When the time is up, release the pressure. When the pressure is released , carefully open and stir in the broccoli. Serve with rice and garnishes. Enjoy!
