Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken


Don’t you love a recipe where you can toss all the ingredients in a pot and Bam! It’s done? Me too! This recipe is super simple but turned out great! I grilled some fresh pineapple slices to top it and it was delicious.


Here‘s what you need:


3/4 cup water

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 T brown sugar

2 T honey

1 t sesame oil

2 t fresh ground ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

3 T cornstarch

3T water

Jasmine rice to serve it with


Garnishes:

green onion, sliced

1 t sesame seeds

fresh pineapple slices, grilled


Place the water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil in the Instant Pot. Set to Sauté mode and whisk it all together. Add in the chicken. Cover and set the Instant Pot to Poultry setting and set the time to 8 minutes. Grill the pineapple while this is cooking. When the chicken is finished, release the pressure according to the directions. Remove the chicken onto a serving platter. Mix the cornstarch and 3 T of cold water and stir it into the sauce to thicken. Drizzle this over the chicken and top with green onion slices, sesame seeds, and the pineappple. Serve over Jasmine rice.
