Skillet Blackened Chicken

This blackened chicken was so juicy and delicious. It was super easy to make too! Everyone really enjoyed this tonight for dinner! All you need is an oven-proof skillet!

Here's what you need:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness

2 t ground cumin

2 t smoked paprika

1/2 t salt

1/2 t black pepper

1/8 t -1/4 t ground red pepper (To your taste)

2 t olive oil

Preheat oven to 400. Mix all the spices together and rub on one side of each piece of chicken. Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, or any oven-proof skillet. Place the chicken in the skillet with the seasoned side down. Cook for 3 minutes, then turn the chicken to the seasoned side facing up. Place the skillet in the oven. Bake at 400 for 6 minutes or until the chicken is done. Dig in!!
