Holiday Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

Updated: Dec 22, 2019

This salad is one of my all-time favorite holiday side dishes! The broccoli and cauliflower, plenty of cashews and raisins, chunks of Monterey Jack cheese, mandarin oranges and crisp bacon all mixed together with a creamy dressing make this salad worthy of your holiday dinner! It will become one of your favorites too! You can make this up the day before, stick it in the refrigerator and it will be ready and delicious on your big day! Trust me,your guests will love it!

Here's what you need:

2 cups broccoli (small florets)

2 cups cauliflower ( same bite-sized pieces as broccoli)

1/2 cup raisins

1 cup cashews

1 lg can mandarin oranges drained

5 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled

8 oz block Monterey Jack cheese cubed

Dressing

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup mayo ( I use the mayo made with olive oil)

2 t prepared mustard

1 t onion powder

Mix together and pour over the salad, and toss. Chill for at least two hours or overnight before serving. Enjoy!
