Easy Air Fried Chicken Tenders

Yummy! Who doesn’t enjoy a good chicken tender? These are healthier because they’re cooked in the air fryer. I used a little Italian bread crumbs and grated Parmesan for the light breading and they only took about 15 minutes to cook. You can use chicken tenderloins or sliced chicken breasts, just make sure they are pounded out thin. Enjoy!

Here’s what you need:

1 lb chicken tenders or sliced chicken breasts, pounded out thin

1 egg, beaten

1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese ( if you grate it fresh, its even better)

salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil spray

Heat air fryer to 400. Place the beaten egg in one bowl and a mixture of the bread crumbs and cheese in another bowl. Salt and pepper the bread crumb mixture lightly if you want. Dip each piece of chicken in the egg, then the breading mix. Place each one on a plate. After each one is coated, spray them lightly with the olive oil spray. Place them sprayed side down in the preheated air fryer. Lightly spray the other side with olive oil spray.

Cook at 400 for 8 minutes then flip them over and cook for 7-8 minutes more, or until they reach an internal of at least 165 and are golden brown!
