Healthy Parmesan Crusted Tilapia

If you love the taste of breaded, fried fish but are cutting back on fried food, this Parmesan Crusted Tilapia is a great dish for you to try! It is quick and easy, full of flavor, and healthy! If is lightly dusted with a mixture of Italian bread crumbs and grated parmesan and is quickly baked in the oven. It turns out perfect every time, without the fat, calories, and mess of frying fish! A good thing to remember is that if you eat two servings of fish per week, it lowers your risk of heart another reason to enjoy fish!

Here's what you need:

4-6 tilapia filets

About 1/2 cup of Italian bread crumbs

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 egg beaten

salt and pepper to taste

cooking spray

Preheat oven to 425. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place beaten egg in a bowl. Put the bread crumbs mixed with the parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in another shallow bowl or on a plate. Dip each filet in the egg and then coat each with the crumb mixture on both sides. Place each filet on the baking sheet. Bake at 425 about 6 minutes or until it flakes easily. Turn oven to broil and broil for about 1 minute or until the crumbs start to brown. Quick, easy and delicious!
