Best Ever Turkey Meatloaf



Nothing says comfort like a moist and delicious home cooked meatloaf! Meatloaf just got even better, and healthier! You might think meatloaf made with turkey might be dry or tasteless....well try this recipe and you will see that just is not true! This simple, wholesome recipe for turkey meatloaf will have you making this again and again! It is not only moist and succulent, but it has much less calories and fat than traditional meatloaf! Besides the fact that this meatloaf is made with turkey, it also calls for chicken broth to help keep it moist and flavorful. Also....any leftovers are great for sandwiches!


Here's What You Need:

1 T olive oil

1 onion chopped

2 garlic cloves minced

3/4 t salt (divided)

1/2 t pepper (divided)

1 1/2 T Worcestershire sauce

1/3 cup chicken broth

3 T ketchup (divided)

2 lbs. ground turkey

3/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs

2 eggs beaten

Preheat the oven to 375. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft. Add the garlic, 1/4 t salt, 1/4 t pepper, and cook stirring for about 1 minute. Stir in the broth, Worcestershire sauce,and 1 T of the ketchup. Transfer this mixture to a large bowl and allow to cool. Add the turkey, beaten eggs, breadcrumbs, and remaining salt and pepper to the bowl. Mix well. It should be very moist. Cover a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place onto the foil. Brush the meatloaf evenly with the remaining 2 T of ketchup. Cook one hour or until the internal temperature reads 170. Let the meatloaf stand 5-10 minutes before slicing. ENJOY!
